> ARCO STUDIO
Estúdio do Arco is a creative space coordinated by musician and music producer Luciano Leães. Located at Cidade Baixa neighhborhood — an important cultural and musical center of Porto Alegre, south Brazil — the environment is more than just a recording and mixing studio. At all stages of the artistic process, Estúdio do Arco seeks to go through the processes with a creative and personal vision, with the aim of translating the quintessence of each artist.
In 2024, Arco Music embarks on a groundbreaking approach to its musical endeavors. This innovative concept seeks to broaden horizons through a global musical perspective, uniting Brazilian musicians and the studios they've collaborated with, alongside studios from around the world. Spearheading this movement is the Rhythm Shack Studio in New Orleans, where Leães has previously collaborated with American producer Jake Eckert, working alongside musicians like Tom Worrell and Lionel Batiste Jr. The vision is to forge a bridge between the cultures of these two nations, further fortifying the musical connections Leães shares with New Orleans. His presence has graced renowned stages like the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Tipitina's, and Maple Leaf. The goal is to discover studios across diverse continents, fostering a bridge that interweaves communities and musical expressions from a multitude of locations, cultures, and genres.
Luciano Leães also welcomes Bruna Paulin to the Arco ensemble, an artist and communicator with a journalism degree and a Master's in Communication from PUCRS, boasting 17 years of experience in communication and culture. Throughout her journey, she has orchestrated cultural production projects, devised communication strategies, crafted content, constructed images, and cultivated relationships for institutions, events, companies, and artistic ventures. Bruna's portfolio features collaborations with prominent figures such as Gal Costa, Tia Carroll (USA), Gloria Groove, Zizi Possi, Letrux, and Luciano Leães. Additionally, she curates the programming for Samba do Quintana at the Casa de Cultura Mario Quintana in Porto Alegre. Her notable affiliations include institutions like Goethe-Institut Porto Alegre, Aliança Francesa, Farol Santander, Theatro São Pedro, and Cinemateca Capitólio.
Also joining the ranks is Tiago Rigo, a multi-instrumentalist musician, actor, photographer, and cultural producer with an international footprint. His artistic and cultural endeavors have spanned countries including France, Turkey, Mozambique, England, Spain, Portugal, Serbia, Cuba, among others. In Brazil, with the band Toccata Magna, he has shared the stage with luminaries like Scorpions, Nightwish, and Angra across various Brazilian cities. In 2015, Tiago established Pasuki Cultural Productions. The production company, following engagements with public tenders and agreements, has honed expertise in projects supported by Incentive Laws (LIC and Rouanet), with a dedicated focus on project development, programming, execution, and proposal composition.
As this new chapter unfolds, Arco Music embraces a dynamic team that epitomizes its dedication to artistic innovation, global collaboration, and cultural enrichment.
ARCO REVIEWS - SOUNDBETTER
Whether working with music production or recording vintage keys, the backline of the space offers tones and sounds obtained by a series of old instruments (Hammond B3, Wurlitzer 200a, Hohner Clavinet D6, Essenfelder acoustic piano, Spinet Wurlitzer piano, among others). On site, there is also an extensive memorabilia that materializes the experiences and aspirations of the musicians, items and objects that provide creative atmospheres, a collection that inspires the achievements set in the studio. This artistic idealism is reflected in the content and form of our casting, the territory where the songs come to life.
